Furnace Operator

Sistersville, WV

Precision International is currently seeking a full-time Furnace Operator to join their team in Sistersville, West Virginia. Founded in 1958, Precision has fulfilled metal fabrication needs by creating a professional and experienced team that is driven by customer satisfaction.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

7 AM – 3 PM

Our Furnace Operator will:

Unpack and inspect cathode block and bars
Correctly charge and operate induction furnace
Monitor burners during preheating of the bar & block assemblies
Measure bar for correct centering and stick out
Correctly place kaowool, install and remove dams
Operate fork lift and crane safely
Take cast iron sample for analysis
Pour molten metal from the furnace to a ladle
Pour molten metal from a ladle into a cathode assembly
Adhere to all safety rules enforced by OSHA and Precision International

The right candidate will have:

Previous foundry experience is a plus
Ability to work in hot temperatures
Forklift certification is a plus
Ability to read and interpret documents such as:
Safety rules
Operating instructions
Procedure manuals
Technical drawings
Ability to gather and document operations data
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work with regularly moving mechanical parts, machines, and equipment
